The Republican Party has brought a style of partisanship to Washington D.C. that has resulted in a U.S. Senate and U.S. House that are so divided that compromise is seen as evil, especially by the conservative Republican base.  U.S. Rep. Cathy McMorris-Rodgers and her Republican Party have brought the country to the edge of fiscal disaster as they bicker over budget cuts and taxes.  Cathy McMorris-Rodgers and her Republican Party would rather see their country suffer through financial disaster after financial disaster rather than try to reach across the isle to their Democratic counterparts and actually try to solve problems.

Not McMorris: We Need Some else for U.S. Congress Says Walla Walla Union Bulletin

The Editorial Board of the Walla Walla Union Bulletin had similar to say about Rep. Cathy McMorris-Rodgers during the 2012 election year.

. . . McMorris Rodgers is a rigid conservative and highly partisan. She has worked across the political aisle on district issues like keeping the VA Center in Walla Walla, but she isn’t willing to compromise on major national issues.

When the nation was on the brink of a financial disaster when the housing bubble burst and banks were at risk, McMorris Rodgers would not vote for the bank bailout or the economic stimulus package. Nor did she offer any alternative. Her lack of action made it clear she was willing to accept economic collapse.  –Editorial Board of the Walla Walla Union Bulletin, Wednesday, October 17, 2012
